Domo, the official mascot of Japan’s public broadcaster NHK which appeared in several 30-second stop-motion interstitial sketches shown as station identification during shows, made its way to US shores and to the Mimoco universe of fun and function tech gadgets. The well-loved character was transformed into MIMOBOT USB flash drive form with three kick-off designs — original, rasta, and ninja.

The character was eventually able to return to its own iconic shape with a sculpted, rubber molded USB flash drive to coincide with 7-Eleven‘s Domo promotion of Slurpee drinks and drink accessories in 2009. These special, limited edition drives were preloaded with Domo episodes.

Working closely with Big Tent Entertainment, character designs, packaging, print collateral, advertising, digital artwork, web design, and tradeshow booth banners were developed for the series launch.
