I recently worked with a newly-formed coalition, comprised of several organizations united in an effort to increase Asian Pacific Islander voter turn-out.
The two main ideas I wanted to get across with the wordmark were (1) a call to action and (2) civic duty. I used bold typography to make a clear impact and incorporated the colors of the American flag (red, white, and blue) to get the idea of the country and politics across. A few concepts were presented and, in the end, a final design emerged to represent APIs CAN!
It was great working with the organization and especially with a movement that I stand behind.
2016 is an important election year and the more people from different parts of the community who come out to vote, the better off the country will be.
